About I Remember Irises
Keith
Keith is recently retired from U.S.D.A. Forest Service. He trained and worked as a horticulturalist, geneticist, and plant breeder. His grandparents were farmers and florists in Northern Kentucky. The family greenhouse remains a particularly treasured memory. He lives in West Lafayette, Indiana with his wife. Together they raised four children. Keith’s only desire for his retired life was to live somewhere he could grow things. Keith sees I Remember Irises as an opportunity to help families travel through loss and grief. In his spare time he plays banjo.
Vicky
Vicky retired several years ago from a career as a law professor and historian. Her first book was on the raisin industry of California, which is about the extent of her interaction with agriculture. But she eagerly embraces the spirit and mission of I Remember Irises as a chance not only to help others process loss but to learn more about her own grief journey after losing her parents. She leaves the field work to Keith and sees to the business’s social media, website management, and order fulfillment. In her spare time she has a modest business (Prairie Garden Alterations), is an avid knitter, sewist, and quilter, and plays flute and piano.
