Know before you buy

Many visitors to Irememberirises.com are experiencing loss and grief. We offer our condolences and understand that your loss is unique and personal. The links below will guide you to resources that some find useful. Some visitors find it helpful to share stories of remembrance and loss.

When you purchase a named iris, you are invited to share a story of remembrance — a reflection, a memory, or a few words about the one you are honoring. You can keep your story as a private reflection, or choose to share it with others. You are also welcome to upload an obituary or photo to accompany your iris.

The rhythm of nature helps to heal loss and begin new stories.

All information on our website is confidential and private unless you choose to share. We do not share with any third parties. We pray every day for our customers who request prayers at keith@irememberirises.com.

Many visitors to our website are celebrating life transitions. These include births, weddings, anniversaries, special achievements, cancer struggles and survival, and gratitude for friendship. Flowers are joy that can be shared, and care for flowers can heal and express gratitude.

Color descriptions in our catalog are carefully standardized. We list the standardized color of flower parts using a system such as Munsell or Pantone so that you can be sure what color your iris was when it grew in our nursery. But please be aware that iris flower colors in the catalog may not match exactly what you see when you grow your named iris. Iris flower colors are affected by weather, plant age, and soil conditions. Your computer monitor or phone may alter the color you see in catalog images, too.
